Wanted: TDV8 Vogue

Hi Guys,

Looking to join the fold.

Looking for a TDV8 Vogue or Vogue SE. 2006-2007 up to 65k and price-wise £22k.

I am willing to travel for the right vehicle and black is my colour of choice. There are a few at dealers that fit the description however if the car came from a RR forum I'd be more reassured that the car was well cared for by the previous owner.

Please feel free to PM me if you have a car in mind.

Thank you for having me.

£22k for a TDV8 with 65k, really?

I bet Gaz doesn't have stock like that. I paid far more for my 56 plate TDV8 with 52k miles.

If you want to spend £22k expect circa 100k miles on a TDV8

Hi Guys,

There's a lot of dreamers on ebay who are pricing higher than dealers.

Stratstone and a North Eastern dealer have examples at 23k and 23.5k respectively. Black/Black, LRSH, Vogue in 50's and 60's mileage.

I've just spent 8 weeks looking at TDV8s. You'll be lucky to find a good Vogue with 65k on it for £25000, let alone £22k. You might find an HSE for that money.

There are loads of very abused ones about so be selective.

James at Lookers had a 2006/06 reg one with 50k miles (really earliest reg) for a tad under £24k but I can't imagine he's still got it. Graham

Your right I cannot match those prices and would be a little suspicious but then Main Dealer prices are all over the place at the moment. We stick close to CAP and generally do not go wrong Thumbs Up

PS: Some Main Dealers are selling cars that would normally go to Auction so that may account for it. Get them while you can because they won't get any cheaper for a while.

Stratstone sell theirs cheap, ask about warranty, its not LR and only 6 months. They do Stratstone standards rather than LR which means its prepared, warranted and sold on a budget.

I live 2 mins from one and wouldn't buy there, ever.

If you want a decent TDV8 you will need min £25k as a no px buyer.

A quick warning from my experience with Stratstone Solihull.
Found the perfect car on their website - even the right colour.
Phoned them to check history / servicing / maintenance etc, and a slight discrepancy. The car I was looking at in the pic had an "HSE" badge on the back - I thought I was looking at a Vogue. I asked everything to check the spec of the actual car. All the questions were answered to please me.
Result - deposit paid over the phone, day off work for me and the good lady. Long drive to collect car. Car was completely misrepresented. different car, different spec. Utterly amateurish. I was offered a "deal" on the car which I didn't want ! - I told them why would I give hard earned money to a bunch of liars . . . . .
Sorry to rant - but don't assume you get the best service from main dealers.
Eventually, I bought the perfect car over a year ago and it's been an absolute peach - but not from a main dealer.

Shop around for the right car, it'll be worth it Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

Because I'm not buying from a dealer (thus not gaining a warranty) and they price to mark-down?

If you have the chance of a genuine and right TDV8 for £22k then snap it up, that's very cheap even for a private sale.

TDV8's are very sought after and with the pending winter will be even more so.

Personally I'd be wary as to why its low in price, if the seller can't afford it and needs out then did he service it etc, you know what I mean.

Anyway, if you have a deal at that money and the example is proper then go for it. If your hoping to find that deal then good luck, you will need it.

The TDV8 is a great car, you will be very happy with it.
