Possibly cheap and convenient TV in motion | |
Hi All,
Whist waiting for my eldest daughter to come out of an after school dance class, I noticed that the TV picture displayed when I switched the ignition off despite the handbrake being off.
I then checked if selecting drive would disable the picture and was pleased to discover the with the ignition off, neither the handbrake or the gear selector influence whether the TV picture is displayed.
So the big question is, is there a fuse that controls the switched ignition to the head unit? if so pulling that fuse may be a more convenient way to let passengers enable tv in motion rather than the 7-5-3 trick.
If this works it would certainly be cheaper and easier than installing a TV in motion box that tricks the car into thinking the car's in neutral with the handbrake on.
Has this been investigated before?
Cheers
Justin
PS: if you're a company that has invested time developing a TV in motion box and this thread ends your business, I'm sorry.
