Right my car was half full of diesel today. I called into a local filling station filled car and paid. Once I started the car I noticed the fuel guage did not move from empty and the orange light indicated tank was empty illuminated. Drove the car for five mins switched off and then restarted no change. Then drove onto motorway initiatially no change noticed that computer was not calculating range stayed blank then all of a sudden fuel guage rose to full but then shortly resumed to empty did this for about 20mins of the journey up and down until finally settling on full. Anyone else experienced this or is is this just one of those RangeRoverisms we have come to love? ( a most sensible post pub post for a change) Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Sounds like a sticking fuel sender. Not sure if they are separate items to the fuel pump or not. Might be worth looking into that. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

New Battery Scarey no other errors it seems to be sorted now though as I said a Rangeroverism!
