United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Java Black
New range rover

I have just bought myself a supercharged vogue and wondered if anyone could help me with the following questions

Firstly I am thinking about getting it remapped to improve the fuel economy as only getting about 22mpg currently and a lot less round town so wondered if anyone had any recommendations or previous experience.

I also wondered if you could add traffic cameras etc to the sat nav system if not can anyone recommend a stand alone system

I believe you can get it remapped, but I don't think you'll see any worthwhile increase in fuel economy! If you're seeing 22mpg you're doing well! Mine averages around 15, but that's on LPG, so not too painful!

I don't believe you can add Scameras to the satnav, would be great if you could though. I use Tomtom HD, which is fantastic, since it gives very accurate re-routing according to traffic, also gives very accurate scamera information.

Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Best I've seen was 22.6 on a long run, reset the computer and cruised at 75ish. My wife does lots of stop start short journeys - averages at 12ish....but I can fill it with 69.9 LPG Laughing

Still uses a wee bit of petrol for all these stop start journeys as well though....... Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

To be honest when I did 23mpg i was trying really hard to the point Asda HGV's were overtaking me!

What LPG Kits are us SC owners using these days or can recommend to me? Who in Scotland (near Dundee) is best to go to?

Never heard of those...what like? had any issues? How long you been running it ? Is there not more complications with regards to LPG'ing a SC?

Not really, there is a lot of stuff on the web about how problematic it can be, but it doesn't seem to be a problem now. Allegedly the Jaguar engine has soft heads which can suffer premature bore wear, so most people get a valve lubrication system fitted.

I've just had a system fitted to my second S/C, and believe me I wouldn't have done it twice if the horror stories on the web about converting S/C's were true! Thumbs Up Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Only way I can think of to increase mpg is careful use of a lasso in the inside lane of the motorway! Think I average 16 ish with a mix of town/A road.

Did you go for a valve lubrication system if so which one and what was the install cost?
