United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
Still learning..

I discovered Sport Mode today!
I knew there was a manual mode, which I assumed was the Sport Mode. I was sat at the lights and thought I'd try the manual setting and saw "Sport Mode" appear on the display. Suddenly realising this wasn't manual as it was still showing "D" on the dash, I drove off and it remained in automatic mode.
Can't say I noticed a big difference, but I suppose it would be more apparent if I was to have given it some. It seemed to stay in gear longer and picked up a bit quicker.
Must read the owners manual! Razz 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Yep thats what it does

Some say better MPG as she holds on to the lower gears longer

ie 5th @70 rather than 6th etc

its also very handy cos if you knock it into sport mode it goes down one gear great for accelerating out of corners etc

With a standard TD6 'accelerating out of corners etc' is a bit far fetched.

yea i tried a TD6, lent the guy my BMW 4.4 in exchange for a few days Shocked
It's like you have to email someone that you pressed the accelerator pedal and wait for the response
LOL

Actually a week later i got a reply saying that the car i was driving had been chipped for performance

A month later the swanky git bought a brand new TDV8 Vogue (Drool)

Now i can live with that (just) especially as Petrol prices here are only a shadow of the UK, but if he gets it chipped, i am open to suggestions. Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry 2003 4.4 HSE
