Leather recolouring / repair

Can anyone recommend a company for the above in Kent?

My P38 is jsu about nearing the end of it's refurbishment. One of the last jobs I need to sort is getting the lightstone leather recoloured as it has has a hard life previously.

I have a new seat base being put in the driver's seat and now need to have it recoloured.

Any suggestions / recommendations would be appreciated Thumbs Up 08 model TDV8 Vogue SE Rimini Red/ parchment. 04 TD6 Vogue Oslo Blue / parchment

Hi Stan

Thanks for that.

It's not the detailing I need the info on thanks.

I need to get the leather recoloured as it's very tired looking (sorry if I didn't make that clear in the post).

It's beyond cleaning and needs recolouring Thumbs Up 08 model TDV8 Vogue SE Rimini Red/ parchment. 04 TD6 Vogue Oslo Blue / parchment

Speak to this chap.

Might not be able to help directly, but I found him really clued up, and full of very good info.

Had one of his kits for covering some damage on my p38 seat and got some very good results.

Also, when thinking about getting a steering wheel recoloured, "Buttonizing" seemed to be the process of choice.

Hi David,

Thanks for the link to new again. I have looked at them but at £400 plus I thought uneconomical for an older car.

Ref liquid leather / gliptone.

I have a bottle of that which I have tried in a hidden spot. It seems to be sticky in fisinsh and doesn't last. (Probably me not doing properly).

I think as I want the whole interior done it will require the seats to be coloured with a spray gun.

Could be a long subject!

On the flip side. I have just spoken to my mate who works at a BMW dealer to see who they use. Whistle 08 model TDV8 Vogue SE Rimini Red/ parchment. 04 TD6 Vogue Oslo Blue / parchment

The liquid leather stuff shouldn't be sticky afterwards once its really dry...

Have you given said area a realy realy good clean, let that dry for a day or so then tried it again, like painting thin thin layers are best as the leather will soak them up Smile

I bought all their cleaning gear to try first. To be honest I did the wood leather steering wheel. Dried perfect, but gets dirty extremely quickly and feels sticky to the touch.
I tried a bit on the seat but as I want to do the whole interior I am worried it will need doing properly" to look professional.

As an aside.

Just had a quote from a company for £145 for the first seat, £40 for each other if done at the same time. Colouring only.

David, I will give him a call and see where we go with that one as well! Thumbs Up 08 model TDV8 Vogue SE Rimini Red/ parchment. 04 TD6 Vogue Oslo Blue / parchment
