Thank goodness it was a Frontera and not a Land Rover getting off roading a bad name again - BBC must have learned the difference between a Jeep and all other brands as well............ 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

JEEPers thats a bit silly, i mean surely if they have run out of fuel or something they could have let momentum take it down unless hte engine or transmission has let go? I cant see why it is dangerous though as surely the vehicle looks semi prepped for such a journey and they have obviously stopped as they felt it was unsafe to carry on for whatever reason?

Its not like they have gone to the north pole or onto/near a live volcano or down a very steep and unsure footed descent next to the pacific or through a rainforest with little training and a dramatisation crew........

Semi prepped fair enough; IMEO, vauxhall frontera, still pretty lame. No hdc weak diff etc

Fair play to the driver!

Over the years I have raised money for charity, the last being a round Britain road trip raising £20K, my current idea is to ride jets skis from the UK to France and back. One of my other thoughts is to do the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours in a Range Rover...do you think this is possible?

The Three Peaks are Snowdon (Wales), Scafell Pike (England) and Ben Nevis (Scotland) Current MY2020

22 hours, thats pretty good. I might look into it a bit more...how you would get permission..the route to take...insurance etc.

How about a small convoy and sponsorship, we could raise a few grand for charity? Current MY2020

Know a few people who have done the 3 peaks. Don't think you need any permission. The lads trained quite bit and had a good crew. Drivers and support workers. The hard bit was the driving. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
