Help with an X5

Hi Guys,
Looking for a bit of help/direction. A friend in work has an X5 3.0TD6. As with our TD6 FFRR his X5 is equipped with the aux heater. Now he doesn't have an option on his computer/screen to activate this. He's spoken with BMW and they have said it need a software update to make it european to enable this function. This sounds expensive to me, he's spoken to a few indys but none have really had a clue what to do or what's needed. So does anyone know of anything like the RAC that he could pick up cheap to enable the feature/function? Surely it cant be that hard to do? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Censored ! Would the RAC work on it for normal fault reading? [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]
