You do have to leave the batt connected till you've undone the seat bolts as you have to drive the seat back and forth. Drive the seat back until you can undo the front bolts, undo, then drive the seat fwd again till you can get at the rears. Tilt the backrest fwd and you'll have a balanced package as small as it's going to get. Then undo the rears, disconnect the batt (Follow procedure! Wait for the nav to shut itself off!), disconnect the plugs under the seat and remove by lightly lifting the seat out the front door.

i've removed both front seats without dis-connecting the battery...made sure the car was in sleep mode and the key out of the ignition..no airbag warnings at all.. |

you are absolutely correct steve...battery dis-connection is the proper way to do it, i just found it quicker/easier to remove the seat without dis-connecting it..bad habits are hard to get rid of. |

Don't sweat this boys, I will disconnect the battery - Health and Safety - and take the seat right out as you suggest Steve.
