In my never ending quest for perfection I'm looking to replace my upper tailgate. My 2012 one is rusty in the usual places and whilst I can get it repaired and painted, I'd rather swap it out for one that is ideally an earlier model year, or one that doesn't have any rust.

Colour isn't too important, but ideally factory tint on the glass.

Unfortunately not - I made a phone call and got lucky to find a mint 2011 one in white, so it needs a full repaint, but has zero rust.

Paid a lot for it (£400 + shipping), but at least I can rust proof it for the future.

I’ve been looking for months - all the eBay ones are rusty, scratched etc.

My existing black one has bubbling, but nowhere near as bad as some you see, but in my quest for perfection I wanted a rust free one. I was going to repair the existing one but this came up and has the reverse cam etc all in the correct place, so a relatively easy swap.

Thanks for the reply. They seem to be few and far between, especially rust free later ones.
