Vibration when stopped in gear. | |
Hi Everyone,
I have had this strange vibration in my car since September. It all started when I had my CV axles replaced from a specialist. After getting the car back there was a big vibration from the car that could be felt in the passenger seat, steering wheel and at times would vibrate the wiring inside the A pillars ever so slightly. The vibration would only happen when the car is stationary, in drive or reverse, and when the steering is turned either to the right or left. It doesnt matter how far the wheel is turned. It goes away when the car is in neutral. When driving there is no vibration, gearbox feels fine, however, after doing a few motorway miles 60mph+ when stopped in traffic the vibration is back even without turning the steering wheel. I have had the shop look at it twice and they say there is nothin wrong with the car and it will go away after a while since the CV axles are new. The vibration is still there till this day. I had taken it to a local garage and they told me to get the engine mounts replaced which I did (genuine parts). However, after replacing the vibration is still there albeit, the vibration is not as bad as before. Has anyone had this happen before, or does anyone have an idea on where else I can look? any ideas would be of great help
