Just picked up a P400 with 37k on the odometer. Love the drive and it's a fine looking vehicle inside and out. The wind noise at speed is a little odd but that seems to be normal for this vehicle. It's also the quietest vehicle I've ever owned, nothing out there compares to this, maybe that's why I can hear wind noise rather than road noise?

Questions so far-

1. Do the auto high beams work well for anyone? The BMWs we have had had this feature and it worked perfectly. On this, it seems they flick on and off almost as if they are too sensitive, such as when driving in my neighborhood with street lamps. Very odd. I also have the pixel LED lights, still getting used to those but honestly that's a little wonky too.

2. This one has had its oil changed twice, once at 20k and once right before I bought it. I have never owned a vehicle with recommended oil changes every 20k miles, seems ludicrous. Especially for turbo engines. I will be changing my oil every 8k max. Does anyone else change their oil more often than 20k miles?

3. I also like to diy maintenance on my cars in the comfort of my garage. I want to go ahead and change the transmission fluid and diff oil. Is there a service manual somewhere I can download? Hoping as I explore more that I can find the same DIY instructions and YouTube's like were easily accessible on the BMWs I've owned over the years.

4. The steering wheel is not straight. It just had an alignment done at a Cadillac dealership right before I bought it. Was it done wrong? It's still under warranty for 13k more, I can bring it to the dealer, but again, I like understand how things work and need the service manual. The vehicle is super clean, no it wasn't in an accident, it was purchased in my city by the previous owner, driven for two years and then traded in at the Cadillac dealership I bought it from.

5. Is the 3.0 turbo I6 on the L405 the same engine and transmission as the P400 and is it the same ZF8 transmission? My BMWs all had ZF transmissions so I assume the process is similar to BMWs in regards to changing tranny fluid and diff oil.

6. Is there any diagnostic software I can put on a laptop and hook up to this to do things like monitor the engine temp when filling tranny fluid, turning off the annoying auto engine stop at standstill?

Looking forward to many years in the future with this fine but quirky vehicle.
