England 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver
Jag Gearbox Service

Looking at purchasing my first FF, considering a pre-facelift model (touch screen) or possably an early facelift model .... Petrol.

I'm well aware of the BMW gearbox weakness and the whole oil change issue but do not know much about the Jag units, generally speaking are they considered better? .... Is there still an advisory to have the oil checked / changed around 60K?

Also if a car has had been maintained with a FLRSH would a gearbox oil change likley to have been done by LR during the major inspections?

Thanks

Quick answer = no LR would not have changed the ATF but the non force induction Jag engined RR is quite rear but dose defiantly have the later and tougher six speed auto box .

The Gearbox is designed/built by ZF Engineering not Jag.

On BMW based models the gearbox was either ZF or GM.
