Paint matching

My L405 is in Luxor metallic. The log book says gold, but it is more silver as Luxor suggests.
I'm having some small chips etc sorted professionally. So the guy took the code from the car. The paint has come back much brighter. Anyone had this sort of problem. 2013 SDV8 4.4 SE Luxor.

your FF is 12 years old so its possible that the original paint has dulled over those years..can your paint guy adjust the supplied paint. ... - .- -.

I had a 1987 Classic repaired in 88/89, the Cypress Metallic Green was dreadful to match in - the LR authorised body shop put it under infra red llamas and baked the new paint a little longer to match it in. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
