FSR headscratcher

Just gone to replace the FSR on my 03/2012 Vogue SE. Managed to get the old one out, despite not being able to move the pesky heater duct that runs right in front of the FSR and across the top of the pedals.

The old one is a triangular jobby and I'd ordered the other shape given that my car is a late model. Has anyone else come across the triangular one in a late model FFRR ?

Smashing - thanks Kev. That's a relief ! To be fair, I wouldn't have known without taking out the old one, so maybe a lesson there in that the rectangular ones aren't always fitted to the later cars and if in doubt, check before ordering.

I could be wrong but i think I read in one of the other threads you can just cut the pins off the new one to fit the triangle hole the old one came out of because it’s just a heat sinc no internal wiring or anything 2012 Westminster 4.4 tdv8

Easier to just send the wrong one back I think. Knowing my luck I'd cut off the wrong pins, or it would be a faulty unit when installed.

I'm wondering whether a faulty FSR can cause suspension glitches as well. I did get my now frequent suspension fault immediately when turning up the blower fan. They're fickle things these fatties !

I said I wouldn't fit a pattern one but genuine ones are very expensive. Next day from Amazon for £21.67!!
Well it works for now.

Went for the same - £20.99 delivered tomorrow. If it doesn't work I'll send it back FOC but at least it means I can get it in tomorrow or Friday. Got a couple of days hols to use up, so doing the head unit swapper to dual view and blower motor at the same time, so should be fun !
