Average Fuel live readout fluctuation.

Hello All,

On my trip this morning I was looking at the Average Fuel readout in the display.
In my car it shows l/100km.
Every time I cycled the live values it was slowly decreasing (*) at some point I challenged myself to get it from 10,2 to 10.0
I watched it drop from 10,2 to 10,1 so I kept the Average Fuel readout in the display.
Minutes later it was fluctuating like crazy, showing 7,2 8,5 9,7, back to 7,2.
I'm pretty sure I did not get anything close to 7,2 as I drove some Autobahn speeds earlier - if you know what I mean (* at some point it showed 12,4/100)
The Instantaneous worked normal, going to zero when you lift and all.

Any idea what's going on?
The fuel gauge value looks normal.

Thanks in advance Smile 2012 4.4TDV8

Some additional info:
The Average Speed value was also changed, dropping to 62km/h from 105km/h, but the Distance to Empty did not change.
I was expecting an increase there.

After fueling up and resetting Trip A the values seem normal after 500km or driving.

I guess the ECU just had a hickup. 2012 4.4TDV8
