Thank you for the quick reply. However, my issue was just a slight bit different. My transmission is very smooth and functioning correctly. It's the actual speed of the engine that varies in that slight amount. Initially, I thought it might have something to do with the MAF sensor or air filter, restricting the amount of fuel air mix.

The torque converter lock-up clutch misbehaving in its controlled slip mode produces exactly that effect. Phil |

Thanks Phil. Looks like I'll take a run a the solenoids first and pray that sorts out the issue. |

This is 100% what my car was doing when RRPhil helped me diagnose it. I've done around 6000 miles in it since replacing the solenoids and servicing the gearbox and she's been perfect since! |

I think you need to ask that of a zf gearbox centre |
