Electrics shut down and won't start

Electrics shut down when trying to start my L405 4.4TDV8 2016
Its not the batteries but every time I go to start it, everything lights up but before the engine has a chance to crank, everything shuts down. In the past it happened very occasionally, but always started on the second attempt..
Now it won't start at all and has been carried off to my local independent, but they are scratching their heads.
Anyone had anything similar?

Assuming the batteries are definitely ok and they’ve checked any fault codes, it may be worth checking the earth points situated behind the front wheel arch liners, as these are exposed and can become a bit crusty. Jonathan

Thanks
The batteries are 100% and it behaves as normal if you switch the ignition on without the footbrake on. However the garage is saying that when you try to start it,the electrics are not on long enough to register a fault code. 2016 L405 SDV8 Vogue SE

They should be able to read any logged fault codes without starting the engine, just with the ignition switched on. Jonathan

Just as an update, my garage found the problem. Not sure how, but it was a faulty teletrac tracker that was the culprit. 2016 L405 SDV8 Vogue SE
