Assuming the batteries are definitely ok and they’ve checked any fault codes, it may be worth checking the earth points situated behind the front wheel arch liners, as these are exposed and can become a bit crusty. Jonathan

They should be able to read any logged fault codes without starting the engine, just with the ignition switched on. Jonathan

Just as an update, my garage found the problem. Not sure how, but it was a faulty teletrac tracker that was the culprit. 2016 L405 SDV8 Vogue SE
