From a Jag workshop manual:
- Audio amplifier crank signal input circuit open circuit
- Audio amplifier module incorrect power mode configuration
- Audio amplifier module internal failure
but it also says:
This DTC is not related to any infotainment audio functionality or chimes/beeps/warnings
So that's a bonus ! and then goes onto say:
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic
equipment, clear the DTCs and retest. If the fault
persists, refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and
test the audio amplifier module crank signal input
circuit for open circuit, high resistance. Repair the
wiring harness as necessary
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic
equipment, check the power mode sent to the
audio amplifier module from the infotainment
master controller. If the audio amplifier module
power mode is correct check the communication
between the infotainment master controller and the
audio amplifier module. Repair as necessary
Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic
equipment, clear the DTCs and retest. If the fault
persists, install a new audio amplifier module
Whether its a fault like a wire disconnected, or whether its a missed functionality thats not been programmed out, hard to tell. ... but you didn't know about it before, its not an error that affects functionality ... i'd be inclined to leave it. V8 or else ...
