L405 rear shock absorbers

Hi, We've finally got our 405 up and running after a 4 week work through of all the "usual" jobs. After spending so much time in the air I could see both rear shock have leaked all the oil out. Sure enough, it feels really floppy on the road.
I can see I need LR034271 LH and LR034266 RH. These come in at £462.70 each genuine. I can see cheaper ones on ebay etc. Is genuine the only way to go?
I read somewhere that even Dunlop ones (£250ish) are no good.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
My head is saying get genuine ones and get on with it, but after so much work already, even I'm getting a bit fed up of spending...
Cheers,
Ian

I installed the Dunlops in my driveway last summer. Instantly better and there have been no issues. Save the money, you will need it for something else.

FWIW, if you don’t want to spend anymore money, sell the L405 and buy an Acura or Lexus. Dan. 🇨🇦 2013 L405 5.0 SCV8

I've used Dunlop shocks from Britpart and they seem superb.
I suppose anything would seem better than a totally empty shock.
If it helps, we did the job without removing the rear seats.
