Any downside to running without the engine cover?

Coming here from Disco 2 Land where the whole engine is nice and visible and kind of prefer to easily be able to see everything that’s going on. Plus those little 6mm bolts are kind of a tight squeeze to access.

mine has been off too, 7 years i think RR 2005 4.4 petrol
Any spelling mistakes are the fault of spellchecker
