HV heater

I have a 2020 Hybrid 400e and having just purchased it , it came with a Warrantywise 2 year warranty.

Having asked them if they cover the HV heater they say they cover the High voltage inverter. Is that the same thing ?

I dont trust warranty at the best of times and never bother with them but this came with the car anyway.

They want me to take another year Rolling Eyes so I wondered if its worth it if this is covered ??

No, the inverter is a different part. The high voltage inverter converts Direct Current (DC) from the battery to Alternative Current (AC) to power the electric motor. It can also be used in reverse mode to charge the battery by transforming kinetic energy from the vehicle into electrical energy that can be stored.

The HV heater is used to warm the interior of the car when in electric mode. The fail sometimes and although easy to replace, they are quite expensive.

Personally, I would get any warranty offered, as these hybrid vehicles are hard to diagnose and cost a lot to fix...
