Early (2010) 4.4 TDV8 - £3.5K - EGR fault

Saw this on Autotrader, looks cheap at only £3.5K (if it's just an EGR fault as they state).

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202501298528523

Doing a lookup & MOT check, it IS a 4.4 and not a 3.6, which was my first thoughts given it's a 2010 car.

EDIT --> Of course the 8 speed box is also a give-away thinking about it!

Might be of interest to someone?

Unusual to see an EGR fault on a 4.4 TDV8, they're usually pretty robust.

I believe the EGR on the 4.4 is right in the middle of the Vee and is an utter sh!t of a job to change.

Be interesting to see if it could be mapped out and left alone.

Hi David - yes, I thought the same about the EGR fault being uncommon.

Perhaps the engine is in a bad way, and it's had a very friendly MOT tester put the ticket on it for the dealer.

I noticed the advisories (rear brake pipe corroded & OSF tyre worn) had disappeared as well on the re-test - which I thought unusual for a dealer sale of a vehicle at this price point. Especially as the OSF still looks like a well-worn Chinese tyre in the pictures! Although the rear tyres look new, possibly Accelera's...

Vehicle looks well in the pics though (apart from the 3 different brands of tyres fitted) - Looks like they've put the spare on for the NS/F - it's a Scorpion at least!

Needs someone on here to go see it, could be an utter bargain if it's something simple, or then again not! Smile
