I assume you have tried an auto retune?

Have you installed a dash cam by any chance? |

Hmmm, yes I do. I had a problem with my 2002 Rangie with very poor VHF reception caused by a dashcam in the rear window.

There is a well known issue with cabling (esp Dashcam) following the same path as DAB cabling - it kills the signal. Only way to prove this is to remove the dashcam cable - Power off will still leave the ability fo the cable to coal up the nearby signal. |

I've disconnected the power to the dashcam at source, a USB power supply which I unplugged. It is just a 5v supply & runs up the drivers front pillar to top of the screen, not near the DAB aerial lead I don't think.

My dashcam wiring goes along the windscreen under the headlining, down the passenger a-pillar and into the fusebox behind the glovebox. The cable for the rear camera goes along the headlining and along the drivers side of the car and I have no issues with my DAB reception.

So to add a little intrigue, my battery was flat this morning. My fault as I’d left it unlocked for 4 days so it hasn’t shut down properly. Jump started it off the defender and DAB worked perfectly! However it then started to crackle out and now we’re back with no signal. So I’m wondering if it’s a voltage problem somewhere along the line |

Watching with interest, as I'm sure the DAB in my 2011 5.0 S/C used to be 100% solid anywhere, and has become a bit patchy/selective in the last year or so, but I thought maybe it was just me! |

Anyone had any joy with this? DAB has packed up completely today… no reception, won’t auto tune and no idea where to start looking |

I doubt that your battery problem comes from not locking yor car, I never lock my car in my garage, even when I am on vacation for 2 weeks and my battery has never been flat. Maybe this is related to the DAB problem? DAB sucks battery or weak battery no reception? |
