It is pretty annoying. Really seems like a novelty. Current: 2017 L405 ATB, 2016 LR4 SE

I don't think its a novelty. It's a must have for me, continually know the speed you are travelling at. Navigation gives you a countdown in distance to the road you are turning into. Especially useful it your in an area your not familiar with & lots of turn offs. In Sport there is a rev counter projected on the screen.

I would never buy a car again that doesn't have HUD, along with adaptive cruise, adaptive lighting and deployable steps, heated steering wheel, hot & cold seats |

You will have to try it and see for yourself, for sure. I definitely think it is annoying. Everything it does is done best off my windscreen or is not needed.

I hate most driver aids in today's modern cars - I can make my own mind up as to what skills/actions are required thanks.
