Can only offer a educated guess I am afraid but I wouldn't drive it until you get it properly fixed otherwise you risk permanent and terminal damage to your engine and turbo's.

Leaking fuel injector
Constant DPF regens

Good luck. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Santorini black ivory leather

Service by the manual say to put in 9.5 litres of oil after draining old oil out
If you do this, your car may show as over filled
But will drive as normal

Some prefer to only refill with 8.5 litres oil and top up as required

Some folk think the turbo drain mod is necessary to avoid runaway
Personally I don’t lose sleep over this

The smoke…what colour was it?
How did you shut down the runaway?
Has you RR had the turbo drain mod?

Thanks for your replies, smoke was grey lots of it ,stopped it by jumping on the brakes and switching it off I was almost on the hard shoulder, not had the turbo drain mod,I'm worried about using more beans at the moment I'm going to run it for a week or so then do an oil test to see if it is getting diesel mixed in with it and keeping an eye on the level
