throttle response delay

Hi all
current car is a P400 RRS but am considering a fatty when i next change
i'd like to know if they all suffer the lag in throttle response similar to most sports or are there some that don't

Any input most welcome

The later D300 MHEW (2021 onwards) is definitely an improvement over the first facelift model (2018 on) with the 3.00 engine. Not sure about the petrol models though. All LR cars from 1984

Thanks chalky,
i had a 2016 sdv6 so was kind of used to the lag and then in 2021 changed to the facelift and went for the petrol which was much better so am just trying to gauge if the newer d300/350 diesels are better
or for that matter even the 2018 onward p525 ?

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Corris Grey

I had a 2012 RRS SDV6 with the infamous turbo lag from a standing start, quite unnerving when trying to pull away quickly at a roundabout etc. At 60k the body shell needed to be removed to replace a faulty turbo 🫣, great car otherwise.

Then a 2017 RR TDV8 great car with no turbo lag and now a 2021 RR supercharged P565 rocket ship - again no lag in acceleration.

Never tried a D300/D350 though. 2021 SVAutobiography Dynamic Black

Thanks Peter,

interesting re the TDV8, and although i am in 2 minds about diesels because of the oil dilution etc was leaning towards the newer d300/350
also i suppose, , as i don't do a lot of miles a big petrol would be an option although there seems to be less of them on the market
i have a few more months to decide anyway............
