Battery testing via the binding posts?

I’m looking to get a jump start pack to keep in the car just incase or if needed to help others.

I was looking at the Topdon V2200 plus which includes a battery checker and Bluetooth app.
The BatteryLab app and V2200Plus offer four functions:

Battery Test
Cranking Test
Charging Test
Real-time voltage

My car only has a single battery (5.0l SC model)

My question is it safe and usable to connect it via the battery binding posts in the engine bay for doing these tests? Or would I need to connect direct to the terminals on the battery?

Cheers

I believe it is advised to jump from the engine points. I trickle charge mine once a week from the same spot 2021 SVautobiography Dynamic Black ( Black wheels need to go )
