A very strange but annoying one, when the car is parked and ignition on the radio, tape and GPS dvd work but the moment I turn the key and the engine is running it all stops.

I have tried a second tuner unit and no difference.

I can not see any obvious water ingress.

Why would everything stop working when the engine is on and sometimes also when only stationary??

Sounds like it could be the ignition switch, they are known to fail on early cars, I imagine it is giving 12v when on ign setting but not giving it on run...

You could probably measure the voltage output if you find the right wires.
