Dodgy wiring

Hi all, I know it’s a long shot, but, does anyone know why this has been bodged like me this?

The two black wires go through the rear light unit and down behind the bumper.
I've noticed the parking aid module is missing
No standard head unit
I disconnected the black wire thinking it was for the reverse camera as this still works, but, it worked when I disconnected the black wire
