My Final Stage Resister appear to die this week.

I have sourced a pattern part from a reputable specialist although it was suspiciously cheap.

I struggled to refit the new one and the specialist kindly did it for me. When I got home I was unsure that the fan had shut down. We live on a busy road so listening is not always straightforward.

I now have a flat battery so I guess that’s that question answered!

Is there a way to fit the connector the wrong way around or is this likely to be just a dodgy unit?

Plug only fits one way, pattern ones are well known to fail prematurely, yours seems very premature though....  Pete

I fitted a Merle 64 11 6 923 204 which is a BMW equivalent part it worked fine for at least the last 4 years I had the L322. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

200 TDi discovery bobtail gone

As i found out there are two different ones. check the shape of the 'hedgehog' tines, one is squarer than the other 2008 TDv8 Vogue in Java black x2
