Hi all, I have searched but not found anything specific to my question. I have a 2019 4.4 SBV8 AB. I cannot tell whether I have an auxiliary battery as well as the one under the spare wheel. I have taken a look at the side panelling in the boot and it does not look like an easy task to simply pull off the panel and look so I dont really want to do that unless I really have to although I thought there was also a fuse box behind there so assumed it would be an easy removal?

I have the build sheet for my vehicle and the only mention of anything to do with a battery are as follows;

Auxiliary Batteries Auxillary Battery H6 AGM (021DC)

Charge Cord - Electric Battery Less Charge Point-Electric Battery (095SC)

Electric Engine Battery Less Electric Engine Battery (021ZZ)

and I know neither of the last 2 items are relevant for my vehicle but does the first item refer to the main battery only or does it indicate that there is indeed another Auxiliary battery stashed in the side panelling of the boot?

I remember readin somewhere that my model year might have stopped having this additional battery? _______________________________________________

mines a SDV6 2020 year and it has a capacitor....

rip that panel off , its very easy if you start at the corner nearest the rear seats..

also by removing the signal wire to the capacitor you then disable start/stop.....if you want to that is.. ... - .- -.

Looks like you have it, behind the panel you mentioned.
It takes a fair old heave to pull out the top edge of the panel, there are three pop-out clips holding it, along the top edge:

Are there any screws holding it or is it just a case of brute force? Am I likely to break anything?  _______________________________________________

Looks like you should have an aux battery. Will be in the right side panel in the boot. It’s fairly easy to remove the panel, info on this thread.
