Hi All,
trying to activate Brake Hold (Auto Hold) functionality in 2019 L405 and 2017 L462. My assumption is if ACC with Stop&Go can hold brakes, it should be possible to trigger brake hold by user.
Comparing CCF files from 2021 L663, 2020 L560, 2019 L405 and 2017 L462 I was able to get the menu and submenu in instrument cluster (L405), I can check the options but they are unchecking themselves after 1-2 seconds.
What am I missing? What else shall I do to get the Auto Hold working?

Think if such a useful option was workable, they’d have done it. It’s annoying getting out of something else with it and remembering it doesn’t work.

In my experience with other activations on the L405, if items immediately deselect themselves from a menu, then it means there is either a missing hardware module, or an incorrect version hardware module present.

I experienced exactly this when trying to activate TSR on my L405. V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!

FYI, I contacted a company based in the UK called Hunters Prestige. They specialise in retrofitting Landrovers, particularly the L663 Defender and the new L460. Here’s their response to my question:

Regarding your inquiry about adding the Brake Hold function to your 2019 Range Rover L405 Autobiography, I'm afraid this is not a simple activation. It requires additional hardware to be retrofitted to the vehicle. Unfortunately, this is not a service we currently offer for this specific model.

This EPB behaviour seems to be very model/year/market dependent, so if you read this, don’t assume anything, and refer to the correct information for your country and model year.  V6 Vogue - “Less is More” - less to go wrong!
