Towing L322 with auto box

I needed to take my non-starting 3.6 TDV8 to a local specialist. As it is an automatic and I had to tow it, I removed the prop shafts. When I picked up the car later, I learned that there was no need to remove the prop shafts. There apparently is a fuse which can be inserted to force the transfer box into a neutral position. This would allow towing, but they were not forthcoming on more info about the fuse. Can anybody throw some light on this fuse please ?

BTW, there was an upside to this story. The car has been plagued with a transmission whine for more than two years. One specialist thought it was the transfer box. With an opportunity to examine the rear prop, I discovered that the centre bearing was worn out and the rubber housing had deteriorated very badly. New bearing circa £30 and the whine has gone.

Good news the you’ve resolved your whine!
There is an empty fuse location in the fuse box (glove box one) that is marked “tow” or “towing” I believe. Put a 25amp fuse into this location and it should drop the transfer box into neutral. L405 2017 TDV6 AB
