It’s a complete no brainer to me, you’ll be £4k in hand and the car needs at worst a bit of trim and a couple of hours works to check it off the car.

Unless there’s damage under the bumper then I can’t see how you can lose out on that offer.

If you want to keep it, you could ask if they will offer a cash-in-lieu settlement - that way you get money and the car doesn’t get written off.
