Newish Battery… Flat battery…

I have had a problem with my 4.4 TDV8 62K .
16 months ago, I bought it with 50K miles genuine from a LR dealer.
To be fair, they wanted top dollar, but I had them do close to £5K worth of work, beforehand.
Had a brand new battery….
New starter motor, loads of other stuff including tank sensors, and pump.
Recently…
Had a few issues.
On trying to start on a rare occasion, it would just “clunk” then start afterwards.
Recently… it’s been clunking more, and failing to start.
My iiD tool is marking it all as a “General electrical failure “ with various Canbus fails.
Personally…
I think it’s a battery issue.
I just think that the genuine LR battery isn’t up to the game, and can’t cope with what is, the first attempts of SMART CHARGING.
I’m quite prepared to tell them to replace the battery for another new one, which to be fair they said they would do…
But there are no faults directed at it.
Alternator charging at 14.8v
All ECU module power at 14.7/8v
Battery holding 12.4v
Yet yesterday….
Opened the door, everything went black. Flat as a fart.
But…. 12.2v across terminals.
Anyone got any ideas??
Personally…I’m certain it’s the battery, and preferably I’d change it for another new Exide or similar.
Experience of other vehicles… I’d always look at the battery.
Look forward to anyone had similar issues.

Have you checked the battery earth strap which I believe terminates in the wheel arch. It’s only something I have read on here so a search should give you the required info. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Santorini black ivory leather

The clunk on starting getting worse is a typical symptom of a failing starter motor. The contacts on the relay get corroded/pitted and fail to transfer the current. Charging the battery helps as a slightly higher voltage can overcome the issue for a short while.
Battery drain on L322 are fairly common, how often do you use yours? Add infrequent use to the colder weather and you have the ideal scenario for a flat battery. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23
