2.0 P400e Mixed reviews on here!

I’m considering a P400e as my next FF. Reading old threads on here, it seems to divide opinion.

I’m concerned about the 300hp performance of a petrol only engine in a vehicle the size of a FF but think it worth the compromise if the EV side of things work as they should, 95% of our journeys are under 20 miles.

But in typical LR tradition, reviews on here seem to suggest it’s a bit hit and miss. I would think a short test drive is not going to be conclusive either. And as we are looking at a 20reg a LR warranty won’t be in place for back up. Not that I’m full of confidence in LR managing to fault find an EV issue in a hybrid!!

Whilst fuel economy will never top the priority list of a FF owner if they can be run more cheaply without too much of the FF experience being lost, why not!!

I run a full electric van and charging 100% at home on a night tariff costs me approximately £15 a week, as opposed to my last diesel van which was costing £100 a week. Home charging really makes EV’s a good option.

I’ve owned LR’s since the 90’s, often a few at the same time but unfortunately the last 2 (newest I’ve owned) have both been lemons. The latest being a Sport that blew its engine up at very low mileage. Luckily an aftermarket warranty covered most of the £12000 bill!!

It’s left me somewhat wary of my next purchase and dare I say my 30 year relationship with LR hangs in the balance Confused
