Take the Door card off and examine the window regulator. The wire that rotates and pulls the window up and down can shear off if there is a sudden jerk or its gets stuck/kinked. or it can come off the pulley at the bottom.

You could try holding the lock button down on the fob, and see if total closure feature closes it....will take switch out the equation.....

Good call and yes I did try that and... drivers window stayed fully down whilst the other three obediently raised... that outcome plus the fact that the drivers window switch was able to lower the window does point to something more mechanical like a broken regulator cable I guess. So plan of action is: 1 - Get battery reconnected in a fully charged state tomorrow/weekend once wheels are back on. 2 - Get IID Tool configured and run a full fault scan plus see if it will allow me to attempt a manual over-ride window raise? 3 - If 2 fails, then remove door card and have a poke around! Something else that occurs is I believe the window mechanism has some anti-trap functionality and I'm wondering if so then is there a sensor that governs this which might have gone rogue, or am I barking up the wrong tree? What a pain in the a***, such a simple thing but make the beast unusable, hey ho. |

Anti trap would make the window automatically go down to about 2 inch above fully down, so I don’t think it’s that.

Hi, did you ever figure this fault out? It’s happened to mine today! How do you access the regulator with the glass in front of it? Is there a way to bypass the switch?
