3 valleys mainly. I used to do it in a single 10 hour hit but will prob stop around dijon this time. this looks ok - Ibis Styles Dijon Sud (nr airport)

we've stayed at the kyriad troyes centre hotel a few times ...underground carpark [12 euros] and a fuel station close by..basic rooms and the hotel is roughly half way between calais and chamonix?.. ... - .- -.

Hard to tell from Google Maps, looks open but maybe a gate - street view is old, but shows a gate that is likely closed at night. I'd email the hotel & ask https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ibis+Sty...FQAw%3D%3D |

We used to stay in the Novotel in Dijon. Gated compound, almost all the cars were loaded up with roofboxes and skis. In the shopping/hotel/industrial estates on the edge of town near the autoroute. |
