Unknown parts in dash

Working on the blower i found some parts i cant place. They look not as original but who knows.
First, does anybody recognize this?

Second, do these optic cable need to be connected? Label says A and B.

Looks like you've stumbled across a fleet tracker.

AVL do fleet tracking solutions, could be yours has a fleet tracker from a previous life and they never removed it.

Could be something else of course, but seems like too much of a coincidence.

Could be all are inter-related, the 1st pic looks like just an antenna, the fibre cables am not sure, but the silver box probably the tracker brains.

It's not standard to likely remiving it all should pose no problems.
