When snow / sludge blocks the ACC

any tips for keeping the ACC working when snowing? (Adaptive cruise control….message saying forward alert sensor is blocked)

Sensor then remains blocked for a while until snow / sludge melts or falls off
Do folk know where the sensor is so I can spray it with de-icer when i pull in to services / garage ?

Thanks

The sensor is close behind the flat of the bumper just a little inboard from directly below the right high-beam fill-in light. The sensor is quite a close fit to a recess in the bumper so I don't know how snow or sludge can get in there, but presumably it can.

my personnel thought is that in those conditions [snow etc] i'd be wanting to have full control of my FF and not rely on electronic tech..... ... - .- -.

Snow/ice on the surface of bumper. There is no other explanation.
