Hazard lights/Smart key issue | |
Hi everyone,
First time on here so hoping you can help in someway or at least point me in the direction to look before I have to succumb and take it to my mechanic to plug in.
I have a 2017 L405 RR Autobiography 60k miles and serviced/MOT'd 2 weeks ago (all ok and no faults).
I have been away for a week, came back yesterday, hopped in the car this morning to an array of issues.
1st problem: The Hazard lights are stuck on but flashing at irregular intervals, if I press and hold the hazard light button, the windscreen wipers go off, the steering wheel lights switch off and the auto headlights.
2nd problem: I disconnect the battery, left for a while, reconnected and ran the car for a couple of hours to get some charge in it as thought that could be an issue however the car is now saying Smart Key no longer inside the vehicle and I have to hold it against the steering column for car to start, but as soon as its started the warning light pings back up again.
The key is also now not working at all i.e. to lock the car, operate the boot but car still starts.
I've looked at the fuse box by the passenger seat but can't find any relevant fuses to see if I can switch the hazards off?
Any thoughts, questions or advice is hugely welcomed!!
Thanks all
H
