Trivial question, but do the L460s still attract dirt and debris onto the rear screen and lower tailgate with the same efficiency as the L322 & 405s?
Ran both and they were brilliant at sucking dirt onto the screen and rear trim…in contrast to Disco 3&4 which (I guess) because of the near vertical rake of the screen, were relatively flawless.

Just curious as to whether the smoother detailing of the rear on the L460 has improved things. Q L460 460e PHEV AB. Belgravia green.

I think they probably do, but the L460's massive rear wiper with its multiple water jets do a pretty good job of getting rid of all the dirt! 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

No, I don’t think the crud thrown up on the L460 rear screen is anywhere as near bad as the 405. Huge improvement. I have always had mud guards, the L460 comes in two parts per wheel. That may also help.

The washer on the rear screen is also really good, I’m not sure but believe there are three water jets attached to the blade arm Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

I have ordered an L460, but specced it without mudguards because I thought they were overly expensive for what they are.
I might revise my order though to add them, or pop some on myself at a later date because my L405 is constantly covered in crap at this time of year.

The enhanced wipers sound good. Had a new Sport on loan for a few weeks and the jets-in-the-blade design was brilliant on the front screen. L460 460e PHEV AB. Belgravia green.

I had an authorised JRR indi put them on once on the 405 and he really didn’t want to do it a second time. He cursed lots.

U just spent north of £100k Spend another £ 500 Treat yourself..whilst bonkers let them do it.

Don’t fall for the minor scratch insurance…. Foolishly I did .Limitations make it worthless.

Thanks Bill. Good advice and I’ll revise my order to add the mudflaps-which I bet are a 2 minute fit on the production line, but so painful afterwards.

I modified a spoiler on my L322 to catch air and direct it down through the spoiler which makes for a huge reduction in dust rising from under the vehicle especially at faster speeds.
A rather pricey wind deflecting spoiler was available for the L494.

I have run a couple of D3s in the past, so great to learn that LR put so much effort into those rear pillars with such a positive result.
