I recently traded out of an X7 into an L405. The BMW could be configured to beep on lock/unlock which I found really useful as a validation that I’d pressed the key fob, especially if I was in the house and not in line of sight to the car.

In the L405 settings there’s something which looks like the same but even when it’s checked it doesn’t seem to do anything - I can’t find a setting which makes for a clearly audible beep. Am I missing something or is this just not an L405 feature?

press the keyfob twice [superlock] and you should hear a beep....this is configurable in the menus.. ... - .- -.

Yes I’ve got the configured already for the double lock, though the beep is pretty quiet! I was thinking thinking more generally, and for unlock as well as lock too.

Yes agreed the lock volume is somewhat quiet.....I tend to stand on the offside bonnet to make sure I hear the beep..

I haven't come across an unlock beep solution nor how to increase the lock beep volume....maybe the gap iidtool can do this? ... - .- -.
