Glovebox problem

Good afternoon

On my 2008 L322 HSE After removing my dash board to replace leaking heater core, when reinstalling lower and upper glovebox compartment and reconnecting the switch it burned the fuse and the switch. With both latches disconnected it burned the new switch and fuse again and right now don’t know what could be the problem any help will be appreciated

Thanks

I have.been changing bulbs to led and also glovebox bulb.
When dismantling, switch went to many pieces and had to assemble it again piece by piece.
Had no problem with fuse or blown fuse after that.
If it blown fuse only, maybe you damage wire from glove box and it is touching somewhere, but blown switch, does not make sence.
For me only logic thing is that faulty switch could do that.
