I strongly suspect a ground loop; is there any portable mp3 player/phone that you can use to test the amp with an audio signal to see if the interference still persists ? |

Just plug the 3.5mm jack from the HU to the mobile device, not exactly sure what signal causes your amp to turn on etc... |

We are going way off the subject here, I’m looking for a fuse I can piggy back off instead of the cigarette lighter. |

I suspect you’ll still have issues if you use another 12v feed and earth point. There are a few RF filters built into the factory setup before the amp and radio unit. A ground loop suppressor should fix your issues. |
