If you did a double cut-and-shut with a Fatty and a Sport, you’d have a Spotty and a Fart, neither desirable to own! Rolling with laughter “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Cairns Blue

We have had Full Fat's since the mid 1980's, starting with a 3.5 Manual Classic, through two 3.9 V8 Auto's (both Vogue models) the a P38 4.6, then onto a 4.4 V8 L322 Vogue (14 years) and now a 4.2 Supercharged L322.

We did this year have a bit of a brain fart when our previous L322 was about to fail its MOT with severe body corrosion around the rear wheel arches and suspension arms, and bought a 4.2 Supercharged Sport, it had all the bells and whistles (Active Cruise Control, Active Anti Roll Bars, Privacy glass all round, Rear DVD screens, Harmon Kardon logic 7 etc etc), however we stupidly bought it in a rush from a so called 'LR Expert dealer' in Swindon (who has now changed the name of his dealership after we threatened court action!) and after purchasing the car found that it needed the Active anti roll bar replacing (body off job), all 4 discs needed replacing, brake lines needed replacing and our dog cage wouldn't fit, plus it doesn't have the split tailgate so our dogs hated it!!

I found it really difficult to get in and out of due to the door openings being much smaller than the Full Fat, and the tramlining with the 20" rims and low profile tyres was abysmal!!

To be fair the times I drove it the Active cruise control was very good and being supercharged it went like stink, and the interior trim (parchment / piano black) was very nice.

Paid £4995 for it
Sold at Auction for £1300
Since been sold on for £3495

(all of the above faults were made totally clear to the Auctioneers. We did contact the original Dealer by phone, whatsapp and letter and were basically told to 'swivel' as he didnt give any refunds......)

He is still advertising Jaguars and Bentley's for sale on AutoTrader as well!
