So after almost a year of ownership and 15,000 miles, I have today, experienced my first fault.
Rather annoyingly, all of my seat controls (every single seat, including the electric fold controls in the boot for the rear seats) have been dead. This includes seat heating and cooling, adjustment and the rear fold, as mentioned. Massage also wasn't working, but auto massage was?!?!
On one occasion, I locked the car, left it 10 minutes and they worked. On another occasion, this method didn't work. And on the third occasion, they didn't work, but after 10 minutes of driving, the seats started working?
I'm assuming this is BCM related, potentially voltage.
My current theories:
1. Battery - My car only does motorway trips, so the battery should be charging fine, but may be on its way out. Has anyone else experienced their seats not working and it turned out to be an end of life battery?
2. Where is the BCM located? I've just had a new windscreen fitted, and am worried there may be water ingress.
3. It couldn't be a fuse if it's all of the seats, and some times they work fine, others not. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
