My remote app tells me the alarm has been triggered. Offers to let me reset but will not do so. The alarm centre tells me they have no record of an alarm event. The dealer has had the car for a service and tells me they fitted a new alarm module and it will take 24 hours to reset. I have also deleted and re loaded the app on their instruction. Now the car has an annoying double beep when I open the door with the key, which I don't want and guess what? its still shows that the alarm has been triggered and will not reset. Anyone else had this ? Slightly concerned that if it gets stolen the alarm may not work as well as being, just annoying. 2006 S/C owned from new. Black, sand with black inserts. Shes a thirsty girl. ( now gone)

Car has been with the dealer for 5 days now and they still cannot fix the issue with my alarm triggered showing on the app. Maybe it’s since the update ? Anyone had this please ? 2006 S/C owned from new. Black, sand with black inserts. Shes a thirsty girl. ( now gone)

Sharing my experience in case it helps. I had a series of false alarms, and my app wouldn’t reset. After a false alarm in the middle of the night I called JLR assistance. The chap who came out was knowledgeable and diagnosed a faulty sensor under the sunroof switch cover. He disconnected it, promising to order the new part and return to fit it. Meanwhile the alarm gave the double beep you describe which meant in my case that one of the sensors was not working. Perhaps that is the case for your car, too? With the sensor removed my app remained in ‘alarm mode’ which he said was to be expected. Sure enough he returned and fitted the new sensor a few days later and the app did reset. I can’t now lock or unlock the car from the app but I think that is related to a separate security update at the dealer. Hope there is something useful in the above and that you find a solution - let us know how you get on.

Thanks very much for that . Latest state of play is that I have the car back. Double beep gone but app firmly stuck on alarm triggered and won’t reset. They are blaming my IPhone as they logged in on an Android and it doesn’t show as triggered ! I have sort of given up in spite of taking an hour on JLR chat to get the operator to escalate it for me. Heard nothing back of course. In addition my Apple Car play won’t work wirelessly as it did before. Haven’t tried it with a lead yet ! Life is too short ! 2006 S/C owned from new.
