2010> vehicle timeline

I just thought I'd post this one more time as I've been receiving PM's and mail on this:
We are going to try to adapt our units to 2010> vehicles as quickly as we can - it will likely not be till the 1st quarter of 2012 though Sad . The immediate problem is the display - after that we'll have to explore how much else has been changed within the systems.

Our workload at the moment is simply too large: we are finishing the first batch of production units (which have all new USB upgradeable hardware), we need to finish development on programming functionality for systems other than the EAS on the IIDTool, and we have several other projects going on in parallel.

If it turns out to be easy to write to the display and all else is the same (or nearly so) as in the pre-2010 vehicles, we'll get it out quickly. If not... Rolling Eyes

Do these units work in a 2005 Discovery "S" with Cruise Control but no Sat Nav/Off Road Screen?

Hi Gary,
Yes they do. The display used is the message center in the instrument cluster, not the satnav.

BTW, as this does not seem to be completely clear either: the IIDTool is available as a professional VIN-lock-free system as well.

- $50 for additional VIN's on VIN locked units
- $630 for a one model IIDTool - in this case it would cover RRS as well as D3/LR3
- $1300 for all models VIN lock free
all in Canadian $, the last 2 + $15 shipping

At todays xchange roughly
-GBP 30
-GBP389
-GBP780

2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Indus Silver

All of those STAGGERING value. I've done embarrassingly little with my IID Beta but:

Plugged in, activation code sent VERY fast (at some stupidly early time in Canada)

Cleared all the faults- simple.
Played with my suspension many times. All incredibly easy with a matchbox-sized piece of HW which now lives in my centre console.

Roll on the additional features. Thanks to Steve Patrick and Christian (apologies if I missed anyone!) for all the support!
Thumbs Up

If I ordered one:

1. How quick would I get it?
2. Can the VIN be transferred to another car?
3. Will the VIN LOCK FREE unit work on Range Rovers.

Gary Thumbs Up

1. If you paid before Monday morning Canadian time it would go out on Monday. Shipping can take up to 10 days tho. The prob is this way shipping cost are under $15, if it goes quicker shipping jumps to $50+. We can do that too tho.
2. Generally we've said that it'd be $50 fo addtl VIN's - which we thought inexpensive enough to keep everyone happy while expensive enough to keep everyone honest. Betas come with 2 VIN's anyway, tho.
We need to sell enough of these. Development costs all in all have run well into 6 figures. No kidding. There is a reason that other tools like the faultmate costs what it does. We need volume to break even. (At this point: hi Joe. Yes that's why. Not greed - not all greed anyway Cool )
3. Only the RRS, not the FF. And at this point that simply has to do with the systems it fits: early L322 is one system, late l322 another, and the T5platform (D3/RRS) another. We are considering changing that for the production versions to mixed L322 (02-09) and separate T5 (RRS and D3). Means we need to combine 2 systems on one unit for the L322 and have the SW identify a RRS or D3 by VIN. Would make much more sense but it's a little more complex.
